A Hollywood Movie Named Taj to be Made on Taj Mahal

Another Hollywood movie regarding Taj Mahal gets underway. The movie titled Taj would focus on the love between Mughal emperor Shahjahan and his wife Mumtaz. Based on the script by Krishna Shah, the movie would be directed by Michael Radford and the shooting of the movie is expected to begin later this year. One of the producers of the movie Taj, Ken Atchity, said that audience world wide would be moved by the story of love and its power that led to this monument. Mughal emperor Shahjahan built the monument as the tomb of his life for his beloved wife Mumtaz. Scriptwriter Krishna Shah said that the movie would show the love of the emperor which remained intact for Mumtaz, despite all the odds that time.

Reuters reported:

Shah said that though "Taj" would be set against the backdrop of 17th-century politics, it would focus on how the emperor's love "survives all upheavals and was immortalized in the monument".

"You cannot deny historical pageantry and court intrigues but basically "Taj" is a pure love story," Shah told Reuters via email.

This is not the first time a movie is going to be built on Taj Mahal. Many Bollywood movies have been built on it. Now, let us see what message the movie would bring along with it for the world wide audience. Taj Mahal is one of the most popular tourist sites around the world as the monument attracts millions of tourists every year. So, Taj Mahal is well-known to the people of outside the India.
