FIFA to Appoint Ranbir Kapoor as Its New Face in India

Cricket and Bollywood are two most popular means of entertainment in India. Now, it seems that football is coming into the scene. Report has it that Bollywood’s rising star, Ranbir Kapoor, has been the face of FIFA in India for the next three years. Ranbir Kapoor used to play football in his school days and was always passionate about football. The star kid has recently participated in a charity football match at the Abhijit Kadam Memorial Tournament, Pune with scoring a few goals. Saawariya fame Ranbir, in an interview, said that football teaches the importance of team spirit and winning.

So, it seems that FIFA has appointed the right person to promote the game in the country. However, neither Ranbir nor FIFA was available to make sure about the deal. Ranbir’s mother Neetu Singh, however, said that nothing was finalized yet as the deal was still in progress, but she admitted that the negotiations was going on.

Football is one of the popular sports in India, despite having no big success at the world stage. So, FIFA is trying to promote the sport in the country with sheer importance considering India’s vast population and size in terms of area. Now, let us see if FIFA really gives the responsibility to Ranbir Kapoor to promote the sport across the country.
